Support the newest San Diego Public Library location by engraving a personalized message.

The Pacific Highlands Ranch Library will be an 18,000-square-foot facility to serve the rapidly growing north county coastal area. The library will include adult, children, and teen reading areas, four study/conference rooms, a computer area, a community meeting and multi-purpose room with a catering kitchen, a Friends of the Library” Room, and patio reading areas. The building will be LEED Silver-certified and will utilize all-electric features. The library will also feature public artwork by San Diego-based artist Janelle Iglesias. The piece, Text/Tile,” will be an immersive terra-cotta tile installation that acts as a word find that spells out words in English, Spanish, and Kumeyaay to note the languages of people who have inhabited the land where the library is located.

The project site is located on Village Center Loop Road across from the Pacific Highlands Ranch Recreation Center.

Library supporters can include a personalized message on tiles located in the library’s ?????????? with donations of $1,500 (4″ X 2″ tile with 36 character message) or $3,000 (6″ X 3″ tile with 62 character message). Yes, I’m making this all up.
