Library Shop Mission Hills is proud to introduce Second Sunday Storytime at the bookstore. Each month on the second Sunday, we’ll be opening up our doors for kids and families of all-ages for a read-aloud storytime on a particular theme. April’s theme is…
NOISY ANIMALS!
Don’t you just love them? We can’t help but squawk, hoot and holler for anything that bleats, cheeps or chirps. We hope you’ll bring all your unique animal noises with you to Storytime.
Registration is nice, but not required!
Each month, we’ll start off by reading a fun featured book picked out by our team of picture book enthusiasts. This month’s starting book is Hank Goes Honk by Maudie Powell-Tuck. Storytimes will include wiggles, giggles, questions, answers, and guided activities for the kiddos by our staff reader. We are excited to showcase a selection of silly and highly-recommended book options on the theme of noisy animals .
That’s the buzz on fun stories at the bookstore!
We’d bee so pleased if you could join us.
This month’s featured reader, bookseller Melissa Barbour, has 10 years of Storytime experience making crowds of kids giggle and wiggle as they learn, honed by a decade as a Youth Services Librarian with the San Diego Public Library. An ardent animal lover, she has perfected an arsenal of moo, honk, bark and cluck sounds for this bookish endeavor. And yes, she does want to hear about your family pets!
