THE BOOKS

  • The Hope Keeper*: Against the glittering but often toxic backdrop of 1919, Elisabeth Beaumont inherits the failing family jewelry business. Drawing on her brother’s connections, she seeks out the owner of the famously cursed Hope Diamond, socialite Evalyn McLean, in order to expand the enterprise… but will her social ties and beveled new obsessions ultimately lead to harm?
  • Confessions of a Grammar Queen: 1960s New York. Bernadette Swift, a young copyeditor at Lenox & Park Publishing, is determined to become the first female CEO in the publishing industry. But first, she needs to step up that ladder through a promotion that her boorish and sexist boss wants to thwart.
  • The Secret Book Society: London, 1885. Trapped by oppressive marriages and societal expectations, three women receive a mysterious invitation to a luxurious afternoon tea. Below the genteel facade of the gathering is a secret book club– a sanctuary offering freedom, sisterhood and the courage to rewrite their stories.
  • The Girls of Good Fortune (Deluxe Edition): She came from a lineage known for good fortune…by those who don’t know the story. Portland, 1888. Although anti-Chinese sentiment is fervent, Celia survives against the odds. But when she wakes up in the subterranean labyrinth of the city’s Shanghai Tunnels, can she solve the puzzle of her own abduction in time to escape?
