Along with our friends at Adventures by the Book, Library Shop SD is excited to welcome bestselling author Mary Kubica, whose repertoire of gripping suspense includes fan favorites like The Good Girl, Local Woman Missing, and She’s Not Sorry. In discussion with T. Greenwood, Kubica will discuss the new novel It’s Not Her, in which a serene lakeside vacation takes a deadly turn. Join us at our dreamy new location, Library Shop Mission Hills, at 925 W. Washington— the site of the former branch library, now turned into a full-service neighborhood bookstore.
This event will include an author talk, a Q&A and book signing.
This is a ticketed evening. Tickets include a pre-order for one copy of the book, which is published on February 3. Book orders will be available for pickup on the night of the event — readers who would like to begin reading right away are also welcome to pick up their copies in-store at Library Shop Mission Hills at any time after the date of publication, February 3 onward. Proceeds support the San Diego Public Library System.
About the Book

Read Kubica’s latest stunning tale of suspense in this special edition hardcover, which includes beautifully designed endpapers.
Two families staying at a secluded lake resort get caught at the center of a chilling crime and mysterious disappearance in this twisty, unputdownable thriller.
Courtney Gray’s tranquil vacation shatters when she hears a blood-curdling scream from the cottage next door. There, she finds the lifeless bodies of her brother and sister-in-law. Her teenage niece, Reese, is nowhere to be found, while her nephew Wyatt lies asleep upstairs, unharmed.
As the police descend on the quiet resort town, secrets about Courtney’s family start to emerge. Struggling to make sense of things, Courtney wonders if Reese is just another victim in a brutal crime — or a perpetrator.
As the investigation evolves, Courtney feels disturbed to find that everyone around her has something to hide. And the closer she gets to the truth, the harder it is to see.
