What’s better than a stack of pancakes for breakfast? A STACK OF PICTURE BOOKS!
This August for Second Sunday Storytime, we invite young readers to come have some fun with books about food! As part of a balanced literary breakfast, we will begin with the book Plenty of Pancakes by Carrie Finison, with illustrations by Diane Farley.
Storytime attendees will receive a special pin with art to help remember the book! We will also have a fun additional selection of other cheesy, spicy, peppery picture book parables for young readers to enjoy.
This Storytime includes song and play to keep readers engaged. Storytime is open to kids of all ages. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
This month’s featured reader, bookseller Melissa Barbour, has 10 years of Storytime experience making crowds of kids giggle and wiggle as they learn, honed by a decade as a Youth Services Librarian with the San Diego Public Library. She has an appetite for stories and is excited to share some of our favorite picture books with San Diego families.
