Thank you to the Lily Lai Foundation for recently making a challenge grant that ensures that gifts made to the Library Foundation SD by December 31 will have twice the impact. Donor support (up to $100,000) will be matched and provide more opportunities for San Diego youngsters like Larissa and Georgie Rodriguez to get the most out of the library and begin school a step ahead.
“My family has benefitted tremendously from the fantastic program our city’s libraries provide,” Lynnette Rodriguez.
“We are so grateful for all of the learning opportunities provided by our libraries,” said Lynnette Rodriguez, mother to Georgie (age 3) and Larissa (age 5). Her children have spent their entire lives learning at the library and participating in programs like My First Library Card, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, and the Summer Reading Program.
