Libraries find new roles as pandemic lingers

Like every organization and business in the nation, the San Diego Public Library has faced challenges during COVID, including filling empty staff positions needed to reopen all branches for in-person services. Despite these challenges, the library has been responsive to changing community needs including increased demand for electronic resources, online programs, and technology support. 

In this Voice of San Diego interview, Library Director Misty Jones discusses the challenges, the library’s response, and future innovations the library is considering.
