The new state budget includes $68.5 million for projects in San Diego, including $20 million to build a new library in the southeastern San Diego neighborhood of Oak Park, $4.5 million for the Ocean Beach Library expansion, and funding for the University Community Library and San Carlos Library projects. The Library Foundation thanks Senate President Pro Tem Toni Atkins for her work to secure this important state funding.
