Last year, Library advocates demonstrated the power of community action by flooding the City Council and the Mayor’s offices with thousands of personalized postcards opposing Library budget cuts.
That advocacy — along with public comments and testimony at City Council meetings — helped restore Monday hours at 17 Library locations and prevented the San Diego Public Library from becoming a five-day-a-week department.
Share your contact information, and the Library Foundation will send you postcards to send to our city leaders to demonstrate how important Library services are to San Diegans.
